This term in Red class we have been talking about various types of food. We grew our own supply of cress from seeds and we used some of what we had grown to make salad. We also looked at dairy produce, especially foods that we make using cow’s milk and cream. Red class students made soda bread using buttermilk, and we also used cream to make our own butter. For art this term we coloured bordered pictures of fruit. This formed part of a classroom display that also included paper-mache fruit, which we made using balloons, paper, paint and glue.
