Therapists

St. Cecilia’s School links with therapists through the HSE (Health Service Executive), CDNT (Child and Disability Network Team) and schools support services to provide a wide range of support for our students. We currently work with the following teams:

• Occupational Therapy
• Physiotherapy
• Speech and Language Therapy
• Behaviour Therapist
• Reflexology
• Music Therapy
• Visiting Teacher for the Hearing Impaired/Deaf
• Visiting Teacher for the Visually Impaired

As parents/carers, you are part of the team of people working around your child as you know your child better than anyone else. Your child’s goals will therefore be jointly set with therapists. Evidence suggests that students make the best progress when activities are incorporated into their everyday life at home and at school to enable the carry-over of progress.
