St. Cecilia's School

Green Class have had fun working on the theme of Colour, choosing favourite colours for many activities and working with different materials too. We really liked creating a rainbow of fruits for our smoothies in HE and enjoyed polishing them off afterwards! We are getting really good at making soup and even better at eating it! We made pancakes for Pancake Tuesday and had fun choosing what to put on them. We made tasty Adobe Chicken for International Flag Day – our country was the Philippines and we had fun making the flag, wearing the colours and hearing a new story from that country -’The Monkey and the Turtle.’

We learned a dance for St Patrick’s Day and decorated our room  – we all had a turn painting a rainbow and crock of gold on the class windows. The theme is Growing now and we are working hard on planting seeds and nurturing young plants – flowers and herbs -some of them are really big and strong now, ready to transplant into bigger pots or bring home at Easter.

We have moved classroom while the builders do work on our room and we like to keep an eye on progress from the Senior Yard. Some of our class have been inspecting the work every day, and are doing a survey on the machinery being used.We love our social trips and are also working on our choices for relaxation and wellbeing.
