About St. Cecilia's School

St. Cecilia’s School caters for students with moderate, severe and profound learning disabilities. There are two designated classes for students with autism. Pupils from 4-18 years are catered for. There are twelve classes, seven junior (4-12yrs approx.) and five senior (12-18yrs).

We are a Catholic School under the patronage of the Daughters of Wisdom. However, we welcome students of all religions and none. The school is run by the Board of Management on behalf of the Patron. St. Cecilia’s operates within the context and parameters of the Department of Education and Skills. The school is subject to regular inspections and monitoring by the assigned Inspectorate. The Curriculum followed is taken from the National Guidelines for pupils with moderate, severe and profound learning disabilities.

Job Duties

To escort students to and/or from St. Cecilia's School via provided transport. Duties include the safety and responsibility of students to and from the school. This will be during school term time only.

Candidates will be expected to demonstrate an understanding of the pupil’s/student’s needs and abilities. They will also be expected to communicate with empathy.
