We are very much in the festive Spirit in Navy Class. We are doing lots of Christmas activities and love every bit of it. This term in Orange class we have been out and about in the community. We have visited a variety of places. Inspecting decorations and taking in the festive atmosphere. Also this term we enjoyed sampling some tasty fruit and vegetables as part of the Food Dudes healthy eating programme.
Blue class have been having great fun celebrating all things Christmas themed this term. We visited Drumcliff Church to see the Christmas tree festival. We helped make a gingerbread house and had some yummy hot chocolate during cookery, and we visited Homebase to see all the lovely Christmas lights.
In the lead up to Christmas Red class have been focusing on the theme of ‘shape’ in Numeracy. As well as learning names of 2D and 3D shapes we have focused on the properties such as faces, sides, corners, ordering shapes by size and finding out what 3D shapes can roll, slide or do both.
